I’ve found that in some places the fossils are much easier to find than in others. I was down in Key West last year, and the gravel they use in the parking lots is entirely made up of coral fossils.

Comment on A Small Example of the Ignorance of (Some) Rednecks by JK http://biochemicalsoul.com/2008/08/a-small-example-of-the-ignorance-of-some-rednecks/comment-page-1/#comment-5850 Wed, 05 Aug 2009 17:22:23 +0000 http://biochemicalsoul2.wordpress.com/2008/08/22/a-small-example-of-the-ignorance-of-some-rednecks/#comment-5850 I have seen the same thing on more than one occasion.
Redneck = glorified ignorance. If these people are not killing, shooting or abusing something or someone they are not happy, all in the name of some god they think condones such actions. Two nights ago a big wheels truck drove through our neighborhood and shot a sleeping deer in the middle of the night. Big macho men, big truck, big guns, compensating for a tiny brain and tiny wee wee.

I remember riding our bikes over there on the weeks and looking for teeth. There were always certain regulars there with absolutely amazing teeth they had found. I still go by there every once in a while to hunt (take the kids)- great fun! Glad to know what those rostrums are. I thought they might be porcupine quills or something!

Of course, when I muster up some finances, I’m going to go island hopping, complete with amazing photos, just to get back at you.
