When I was in 5th grade, I went to Wahl Coats Elementary school which is right next to the creek in Greenville where you went hunting! I remember riding our bikes over there on the weeks and looking for teeth. There were always certain regulars there with absolutely amazing teeth they had found. I still go by there every once in a while to hunt (take the kids)- great fun! Glad to know what those rostrums are. I thought they might be porcupine quills or something!

OMG THAT STUFF IS SO MUCH COOLER THAN WHAT WE FOUND!!!!! I am officially totally jealous. Barry bought me a 3" megalodon tooth before we left Florida, which made me unbelievably happy just to have, but THOSE are some NICE FINDS!

(and thanks for the correction... I got my info from a less-than-scientific source :> )
