		<description>Ugh... Timber Rattler&#039;s I love them but hate them since I had a horrible run in with one when I was a teenager hiking in the mountains of northern New Mexico. I tripped over a root and landed with my face about 8 inches from a Timber coiled up at the base of a bush. Face to face, literally with what I thought at the moment was death. 

But their disruptive camouflage pattern is very cool. I wonder since they don&#039;t actively change color as the cephalopods (and fish) do, if the size and color of the pattern changes adaptively with sub populations in areas dominated by different dominant tree species.</description>
