<description>We have only 2 possible questions in this universe:

Either everything came from nothing
or
Something always existed and created everything

Well maybe the universe always existed? Here&#039;s the problem with that: to claim something is eternal, you&#039;d have to apply the properties of infinity to matter, time and space. And if they can be proved to NOT be eternal, than they MUST have been created, which would then have the properties of God; being immaterial, eternal and omnipresent.

So let&#039;s take time:

Time is the measure of changes in matter. (Imagine stating that if you were going to smile after blinking your eyes an infinite amount of times. Would you ever smile? NO. Infinite means, &quot;forever&quot;.)

Now, let&#039;s take matter:

Take the nearest object to. I&#039;ll a Coke can. How many times would you have to multiply it to get an infinite amount of Coke cans? You can&#039;t. It&#039;s not possible. You could have a LOT of coke cans, but you&#039;d still have a number, not an INFINITE amount; or FOREVER amount.

And lastly, space:

Space is only the measure between matter; like my coke cans. So if matter ceases to exists, than there is NO SPACE. This declares that there is only a finite measure of space; a measure of space between objects.

***

So we conclude that matter, time and space are ALL finite (not infinite or eternal) and therefore HAD A BEGINNING.

So WHAT CREATED MATTER, TIME AND SPACE?

In the beginning(time) God created the heaven(space) and the earth(matter).
Genesis 1:1
